Men’s Basketball (12-16) enters March with back-to-back road games against Virginia Tech (12-16) on Saturday and Southern Methodist (21-7) the following Tuesday:
Following a loss versus Louisville, Virginia Tech has now fell short in three of their past four games, and barring a late-season run, will suffer their first losing season in 10 years
Despite the upset, the Hokies saw a spark of hope, cutting the lead to 67-66 on a short jumper by Brandon Rechsteiner with 1:49 to play
However, the team did not score again, turning the ball over on two of their final three possessions
Rechsteiner led Virginia Tech in the battle with 18 points
Headed into the week, SMU was tied for fourth in the ACC standings
Most recently, the Mustangs swept its series against California, 81-77 tonight (76-65 earlier in the year)
Leading the tribe, Chuck Harris poured 21 points going 9-of-12 from the field and adding three deep range shots
His teammate B.J. Edwards mounted 18 points and five assists to close out the night

Women’s Hoops (11-17) welcomes Boston College (15-15) in its final home game of the season:
Aside from a 15-15 overall record this season, the Eagles currently hold a 6-11 record in ACC play
This year, Boston College is 11-3 when they score 20 or more points off turnovers
Heading into its final home game of the season, the Orange will look control the paint seeing as BC is averaging 46.2 percent of its points in the paint in its first14 wins
